Product Description

The 512 inverter made by SEC America is great for battery back-up in many pellet models. Please check your owners manual to determine the draw your stove has. This will determine if this inverter at 550 Watts is large enough to have the auto ignite work on your stove. Most Harman stoves have the ability of placing the igniter on a manual setting, allowing this inverter to work for most models.

Specs and Details.

Battery Back Up
For Alternative Heating Appliances and Pellet Stoves

550 Watt Capacity

SF 512 interfaces between a heating appliance (wood pellet or alternative fuel stove) and its AC wall outlet. When AC utility power is present, the SF 512 charges a battery and monitors the wall outlet to detect a power outage. At the moment utility power fails, the SF 512 draws energy from a battery and converts it to enable appliance operation. When utility power returns, the SF 512 automatically switches the appliance back to AC wall outlet power. At the same time, the SF 512 resumes charging the battery to return it to full capacity in preparation for the next power failure.

NOTE: When the inverter and battery back-up is in place it is recommended to unplug the inverter once every month or so during the season. Let the stove run on the battery backup for an hour or so; it's important that the batteries cycle on once in a while. Leaving a battery sit unused is not good for it; work it a little and it will last a long time.
