Combustion blowers, also referred to as exhaust fans or draft motors, are a key component in pellet and corn stoves as well as several coal stove models. The combustion blower pulls air through the burnpot, up past the heat exchange tubes, down the rear fire wall, expelling the exhaust gases out of the flue vent pipe. There are many variances in electrical specs, motor type, and installation mount depending on your stove make and model. Be sure to cross-reference your existing combustion blower to ensure you are ordering the correct replacement. If you are purchasing one of our combustion motor kits, follow along with the installation video below.

Convection fans, also referred to as distribution blowers or room-air fans, circulate air through the heat exchange tubes, dispersing the heated air into the room. There are many different styles of convection fans with varying CFM output and electrical specs depending on the stove make and model. We offer a 1500 RPM and 3000 RPM convection fan motor kit. We recommend periodic cleaning of the convection fan motor windings and fan impeller wheel; compressed air and a dry paint brush are great tools for cleaning your fans and motors. If you are purchasing one of our convection fan motor kits, please follow along with our installation guide video below.

Auger feed motors are used in every pellet and corn stove along with several coal stoves. The auger motor works in tandem with the control board and selected heat settings to intermittently turn, churning fuel into the auger shaft. Many auger motors will have a similar design style, but will vary in RPM, electrical specs, shaft size, and shaft mount. Agitator motors are used in select multi-fuel stove models and are designed to intermittently turn the stir bar in the burnpot/firepot. This helps prevent clinker formations and heavy ash accumulation from blocking combustion air flow during operation. Agitator motors will have variances just like the auger feed motors. Be sure to cross-reference your current motor to ensure correct replacement. Check out our general auger motor installation video, our video on how-to reverse the direction on an auger/agitator motor, and our video on how to test your motor directly.
