There are many different types of firebox door gasket depending on your stove make and model. We offer several round rope door gasket kits from 1/4″ to 1″ in diameter. We offer a 1/2″ diameter bulb tadpole gasket which is used on several models for creating the door and glass gasket seal. The firebox door gasket creates the seal from the door to the stove body frame. The door gasket seal should be tight all the way around while the unit is in operation. As our door gasket wears it can cause air leakage which will affect our fire, efficiency, and can trip the vacuum switch causing the auger feed motor not to work in pellet, corn, and coal stove models. Generally speaking, door gasket typically lasts 4-7 seasons before replacement is needed. You can use a dollar bill to do a gasket check. With the stove off, place the dollar bill half in and half out of the door. Close the door and pull on the dollar bill. There should be heavy resistance. Test in multiple places around the door. If any area has light resistance or the dollar bill pulls right through, the door gasket should be replaced. See our helpful guide video below for door gasket replacement tips and tricks.

Glass gasket, ash pan door gasket, and fuel hopper lid gasket will generally be a flat 'tape-style' gasket for most stoves and fireplaces. We offer 1/2″, 3/4″, and 7/8″ wide flat gasket with PSA peel-off adhesive backing. It's important to routinely inspect the glass gasket, ash pan door gasket, and hopper gasket if applicable on your stove. Over time these gaskets will get brittle, have fray, weak seals, or create air gaps which will dramatically affect the combustion air flow and draft with your stove. When it comes time to replace the glass gasket, watch our general installation guide video below.

Pellet, corn, and coal freestanding stove models and fireplace insert models will have a combustion blower. Also referred to as the exhaust fan or draft motor, the combustion blower will use two gasket seals. There will be a 6″ or 7″ round gasket that goes from the motor to the housing, and an oblong gasket that creates the seal from the housing to the exhaust manifold. We recommend these gaskets are routinely inspected and replaced when the blower motor is removed for cleaning, maintenance, service, or when there is notable wear, cracks, or breaks in the gasket. If you are looking to save a few bucks, we offer a 12″ x 24″ gasket sheet to trace and cut your own blower/fan/motor gaskets; click here to take a closer look.
