Jamestown J1000, J2000, and J3000 models will use a 1/2″ round rope door gasket, part number 04DAA for both the firebox door as well as the ash pan door. This gasket creates the seal from the door to the stove frame/body. Over time the door gasket will wear and create air leakage which will affect your fire, efficiency, and can trip the vacuum switch not allowing the auger motor to run. Regularly inspect your door gasket to ensure it's making a tight seal all the way around. When you need to replace, follow along with our installation video.

Jamestown pellet stoves will have a flat tape-style gasket applied to the firebox door glass which creates the seal from the glass to the door. Same as our firebox door gasket, it's very important this gasket seal is tight all the way around during operation. Visually inspect the glass gasket during your routine maintenance, and replace when there is notable wear, fray, or air-gaps.

The Jamestown combustion blower, also referred to as the exhaust fan or draft motor, will have two gasket seals. The first is a 6″ round gasket that goes from the motor to the housing. The second is an oblong gasket that goes from the housing to the stove manifold. When removing your combustion blower exhaust fan motor, check these gasket seals and replace them when worn or cracked.  The convection fan, also known as the distribution blower, will have a rectangular mount gasket from the motor housing to the air channel in the stove. Always make sure this gasket is in-tact for proper heat circulation into the room. Check out our liotherm gasket sheet to cut and trace multiple motor gaskets.
