“I have a MT. Vernon AE pellet stove. What’s the best way to operate the stove – in automatic or in manual mode?”

“Most customers operate the Mt. Vernon AE in automatic mode. Having the fuel feed adjust on it’s own based on temperature is the most efficient way to operate the stove. Additionally it’s always maintaining temperature based on your selection so it’s not overly hot or cold.

 If you just wanted the stove to operate as long as possible while you were away producing some warmth, running it in manual at the lowest setting would accomplish that better than automatic mode.

Every customer has there own preference and every heating situation is unique. Do some tests on your own this season just to make notes and compare.”
