The Freedom Independence PS21 12V Sealed Lead Acid 40AH Battery. You will require two 12V batteries running in a series for the 24V DC power the Freedom Independence PS21 without electricity. The sealed lead acid batteries are rechargeable and do not require ventilation. Batteries can be placed behind or nearby your Freedom Independence. While connected to the stove, the batteries will receive a constant trickle charge keeping them ready to go for when the power goes out. The Freedom Independence PS21 draws just 0.6 amps DC which provides over 40 hours of runtime with the two 12 volt batteries in place.
