Freedom Independence Temperature control Switch
Genuine OEM Freedom Stove temperature control switch for the Independence PS21 pellet stove. This switch is also referred to as a high limit switch or high limit snap disc. The temperature rating for this switch is 85 degrees Celsius or 185 degrees Fahrenheit. This switch is in-line with the auger feed motor and will shut the auger motor down if the switch is tripped or faulty. The temperature control switch is normally closed and will open if temperatures exceed 185F. This is an auto-reset switch meaning once the switch cools down it will automatically go back to a closed position if functioning correctly. If you are experiencing issues with your temperature control switch, make sure your stove and venting is thoroughly cleaned and reference our videos below for further insight on troubleshooting and replacement.
