Also referred to as the feed shaft or fuel shaft, the auger shaft is designed like a corkscrew to churn pellet fuel up, dropping it down the feed chute into your burnpot. As the auger shaft wears over time we will often notice frequent auger jams, inconsistency with fuel delivery, and/or abnormal noises during operation. We recommend cleaning fines out out your fuel hopper after each ton to prevent fines build-up in the auger shaft. Annually we recommend removal and cleaning of the auger shaft. This is the correct replacement auger shaft for Napoleon NPI40, NPI40-1, NPI45, NPS40, NPS40-1, and NPS45 pellet stove models. Additionally, this is the correct auger shaft replacement for Timberwolf TPS35 and TPI35 pellet stove models.
