Boards Switches Sensors
Country Stove was the original manufacturer of the Winslow PS40 and Winslow PI40 pellet stove models. In later years Lennox was manufacturing these models, and currently Iron Strike is manufacturing these models. Although there has been different manufacturers of the Winslow stoves, the part replacements will be the same for all manufacturers and years. This category will have Winslow control/circuit boards, safety switches, and sensors.

Country Winslow PS40 and PI40 pellet stoves have had only one control board throughout all years of manufacturer. The newest control board, part H5978, will now have the Iron Strike logo branded on it. Also referred to as the circuit board, the control board essentially operates all functions of the stove during start-up, operation, and cool down. We highly recommend a surge protector to be in place to prevent voltage spikes from harming the control board when the stove is plugged in.
Country Winslow PS40 and PI40 pellet stove models will have limit switches and a vacuum/pressure switch which are designed as safety sensors. We offer the 140F low limit convection fan switch, part H5875, which allows the blower to come on once it reaches proper temp during the start-up cycle. We offer the 140F ceramic low limit proof of fire (P.O.F.) switch, part H5887, which mounts on the combustion blower/exhaust fan housing. This switch will lock in once proper temperature is met during the start up cycle allowing the electrical circuit to the auger feed motor to close. As the stove cools during shutdown, this switch will re-open at it's designated temperature allowing the combustion blower to shut off. We also offer the 225F high limit switch with manual reset, part number H5891. The high limit switch is a normally closed snap switch that will open if temperatures exceed the determined limit point. When this switch opens/trips it will shut down the auger motor fuel feed. Most common causes for this switch to trip would be ash blockage in the stove/venting causing high flames and pellets backing up in the burnpot and up the drop chute. The other would be the convection fan blower not operating correctly or not operating at all to disperse the heat into the room. Take a look at our videos below for further information on limit switches/snap switches/thermodiscs.
The Country Winslow vacuum switch, also referred to as a pressure switch or low draft switch, senses air pressure in the firebox and exhaust. As a safety sensor, the vacuum/pressure switch will shut down the fuel feed auger if proper pressure is not sensed in the firebox or exhaust. Most common areas to check when seeing a vacuum switch error will be the front door gasket, ash pan gasket, and glass gasket to ensure there is a tight and proper seal. From there, ash accumulation in the stove, exhaust manifold, and exhaust venting should be checked and cleaned. Additionally, if our combustion blower is not running at proper voltage, it will not be able to lock in the vacuum switch. The Country Winslow PS40 and PI40 vacuum switch will be part number H5889; we offer both OEM and aftermarket replacement options. Learn more about vacuum switches and troubleshooting in our video below.
FOR TROUBLESHOOTING ONLY, we can bypass a safety switch to determine where the issue may be. See our video below on how to troubleshoot switches and sensors with a jumper wire.
