We offer a few different combustion blower options for Ashley and King pellet stove models. Also referred to as the exhaust fan or draft motor, the combustion blower pulls air through the burnpot, up past the heat exchange tubes, down the rear firewall expelling the exhaust gases out of the flue vent pipe. If our combustion blower is not operating properly we will often see issues with ignition, our vacuum switch locking in, a sooty/lazy inefficient fire, and abnormal noises during operation. Routinely inspect and clean your combustion blower and blower housing from dust, debris, and ash accumulation.

For the King 5501S and the Ashley AP5660L, AP5710, AP5770, AP5780B, AP5780PS, AP5780SS, and AP5790 pellet stove models, combustion blower 80602 will be the correct replacement. We offer an aftermarket full assembly with the housing as well as a motor only kit for replacement. The 80454, 80473 combustion blower will be correct for Ashley and King 5500, 5500M, 5500XL, 5510, AP130, APCi1406, Heritage 5600, Heritage 5700, and KP130 models. If you are purchasing one of our motor kits, see our installation guide video below.

The convection fan, also referred to as the distribution blower, circulates air through the heat exchange tubes dispersing the heated air into the room. It's important to routinely inspect and clean the convection fan. As the convection fan weakens over time we may notice poor heat output air-flow, excess noise during operation, our high limit switch tripping, or complete motor failure. As dust and debris accumulate on the motor windings and impeller wheel it can put additional strain on the motor and reduce the CFM air-flow. Compressed air and a dry paint brush are great tools for cleaning your convection fan.

Ashley and King 5500, 5500M, 5500XL, 5510, AP5770, and Heritage 5700 pellet stove models will use convection fan 80453, 80472, 80472A. We offer this blower as a complete assembly as well as a motor and impeller only kit. The Ashley AP5660L and AP5710 pellet stove models will use convection fan 80622. When it comes time to replace your convection fan, follow along with our general installation video below.

The auger motor used in Ashley and King pellet stoves works in tandem with the control board and selected heat settings. The auger feed motor intermittently turns churning pellet fuel up the auger shaft and down into the burnpot. There are safety switches and sensors in line with the auger motor electrical circuit. If we have a tripped or faulty switch it can prevent the auger motor from operating. See our video below on creating a test cord for your motor.

Ashley and King 5500, 5500M, 5500XL, 5510, AP130, AP5710, AP5770, AP5780B, AP5780PS, AP5780SS, AP5790, APC1406, APCi1406, and KP130 models will use a 1 RPM counter clockwise rotation auger feed motor, part 80488, 80457. This motor will have a hole in the shaft to secure with the cotter/set pin. The Ashley AP5660L pellet stove will use a 1 RPM counter clockwise auger motor, part 80606. This motor will also have a hole in the shaft to secure with the cotter/set pin.

The Ashley APC1406 and APCi1406 models will use a 4 RPM clockwise rotation agitator stirrer motor, part 80456. The agitator motor rotates the stir bar/stirrer rod inside the burnpot/firepot. As the stir bar rotates it helps to prevent heavy ash accumulation and clinker formation from blocking the combustion air holes. This motor will also have a hole in the shaft to secure with the cotter/set pin.

PLEASE NOTE: Motor rotation is determined when facing the motor shaft. Please see our videos below for general auger motor installation, how to reverse an auger motor direction, and how to create a test cord to check the operation of your motor outside of the stove.
