Whitfield Proof of Fire Low Limit Snap Switch

Genuine OEM replacement Whitfield exhaust heat sensor low limit switch. Often referred to as the Proof of Fire switch, limit switch, snap disc, or Therm-O-Disc. This is a 140 degree ceramic switch that will mount on the exhaust motor housing for the specified Whitfield pellet stove models. This will be the correct for IHP part numbers 12027601 and 12057601. The Proof of Fire Switch detects the heat during start-up causing the switch to close allowing the auger feed motor to operate in normal operation. When the stove is shut down or runs out of pellet, this switch will automatically re-open when it reaches 120 degrees Fahrenheit. If your stove is not feeding pellets after the start-up cycle or if your exhaust fan continues to run when the stove is off and cool, we would recommend inspecting/replacing this safety snap switch limit disc.
