Highest Quality Pellethead Replacement ash pan door gasket for Quadra-Fire Mt. Vernon AE, Mt. Vernon E2, Edge 60, and PT60 Heatilator Pointe pellet stove and fireplace insert models. This is a 3/4″ diameter rope style fiberglass gasket measuring 7′ in length (approximately 3.5′ is required for replacement). Our 725-7K gasket kit replacement includes high temperature silicone sealant and replaces HHT factory part number SRV7034-178. Check your ash pan door gasket on a routine basis during your maintenance schedule to ensure proper seal. We recommend replacing the gasket if there is heavy wear, frays, or air gaps. | Installation | Scrape out as much old silicone as possible before placing new gasket in the groove. Place a nice bead of silicone in the grove and work the new gasket back and forth in the groove. Try not to stretch it or bunch it. |
| Tech Note | If you are not getting a tight seal, having combustion air issues, or your gasket is fraying, it should be replaced. Generally every 2-5 seasons. Don't use your vacuum cleaner nozzle directly on the gasket. Use a brush accessory tool or use a dry paint brush to clean the ash off the gasket. This will help with premature wear and fray. |
